I have a Photosmart C4780 printer which I am putting in identify. It is connected and 'impression', even if nothing appears.  When I effort to print the alignment page that nothing comes up except for two tiny pocket-size black lines the top of the page. Makes me think that the ink cartridges are not defective. When I tried to print the alignment page, looks like information technology'due south something printing, but nothing is there.  I tried troubleshooting and turn the printer off and on again to redo the alignment exercise. I'll assume that yous take checked that the ink levels from the Panel before or through the printer software and its showing that there is fiddling ink in the cartridges.  If the printer has been lying idle for awhile with the inserted cartridges they can get crust around the nozzles. You mention that you have tried troubleshooting, you run the automated tool to clean the cartridges? I included here a link to the certificate to support troubleshooting for print quality issues. Scroll downwards to step 6 of Solution 6 (just below the images in the impress quality report) and follow the steps in that location. If this does not work, proceed to step 7 which explains how to clean the surface of the nozzle of the cartridges.

Well, I'yard starting to feel like I knew better, buy some other HP printer after dismal luck with two all-in-one before.

My J4580 already gives me headaches after only 6 or more than months of utilise.

The unit of measurement refuses to print, declaring "print cartridge problem: [Tri-Color] refer to device Documentation to troubleshoot."  Nothing in the help documentation.  The Habs is ever xc% full.  Sometimes pulling the Habs and placing back in crazy wil it restarting.  When it restarts, it prints perfectly.

I tried the ubiquitous "clean the contacts" and other instructions aid generic that I saw, just those who were without help.  The "Solution Centre (Aye, good)" appears and all ithas is a link to purchase more ink (!).

Someone has an idea?  I'm about to throw it through the window of stores office, given that I tin't throw it out the window of HP.

Yes * I know * and I'm sorry that I forgot to come up back here.  I had a major system crash and I had to reinstall a lot of drivers for my multimedia histrion, GPS, and printer (!).  As this occurs, the device did not return this mistake - touch wood.

(a) if cartridge is lacking.
(b) the ink and toner levels are not suitable.
(c) If fuser on the printer is broken.

Tried to alter ink cartridges, just they continue to fall.  Never a problem before. They snap, and and then falling forward again. Tried to get the old empty ones and they did the aforementioned.  That they are really expensive, I can't go out and buy 2 others to try.  Not sure if the printer is broken or the cartridges. Help!

Photosmart C4780 - prints extra page even after update HP driver

With the Mavericks (Os X ten.9.4) installed, I noticed that completed impress jobs remain in the queue for my HP Photosmart C4780 Safari printing and preview.  If I desire to print another (another page), I usually have to remove the previous work (100% total) of the queue so that the printer will impress (I think recall that sometimes, with a Google Chrome browser, it is not necessary).  If I close the hat of my MacBook Pro (which goes to sleep) with a completed print task stays in queue HP, it will be then print over again for a second fourth dimension.

Today, I installed the updated driver, but the problem has not disappeared when I tried to print from Safari and overview.
